Wasup E’rybody…
OK, I know it’s July 15, 2008 AD, and last month I said that I plan on posting the FreeBlogger Monthly Surf Report on or about the 1st of each month, but I do have a couple good of reasons for being a little behind schedule on my blog this time: (1) due to my getting caught up with Independence Day here in America, and (2) I’ve been very busy building my offline business since my last surf report.
Yeah, in regards to the first reason mentioned above, I’m a service-connected disabled American veteran of the U.S. Army (FYI: I got out in 1989, just prior to the “Gulf War” or a.k.a. “Operation Desert Shield” followed by “Operation Desert Storm” and I hurt myself by slipping on ice while shoveling snow and falling down a flight of stairs… I know, not too glamorous, but it’s the truth), so I tend to go a little crazy on the 4th of July… And this year was NO exception!..
But don’t worry, I won’t scare you by going into all the gory details here, and I need only say that our festivities lasted all weekend long (i.e., we stopped partying late Sunday night / Monday morning) and I had a great time! (Hoo-ah!)
Now, referring to the second reason aforesaid, I’ve been very busy, along with my cousin, Paul, building our offline cleaning / hauling / light demolition / scrap metal recycling business… Phew, that’s a lot of stuff for just two guys, huh?.. Well, I love hard work (coz it keeps me in shape when I don’t get to workout as much as I’d like to), and I’m teaching Paul to enjoy it for the same reason. And, of course, it’s an honest way to make money and stay out of trouble, ha ha.
For instance, we started advertising online with Craigslist about 2 weeks ago, and it has already supplied several jobs for us since then (click here to check out our last ad on Craigslist in a new window)…
Finally, not to mention, as I told you in “Hello World!“, I’m a sporadic person by nature. So I tend to behave in the same way with all things, including blogging. Sorry if that sounds lame, but it’s the truth!
Anyway, let’s move on to this month’s surf report, K?.. Cool!
First off, as it pertains to my Traffic Exchange Study, which this post series was originally started for, it has been put on a lower list of priorities for the time being. So now the FreeBlogger Monthly Surf Report will be more of a general report on what’s been going on with me, both online and off. I hope that’s cool with e’rybody. If not, then please forgive me and leave a comment below, letting me know how you feel and/or what you think about it.
Of course, I will still include information about my results with surfing the Traffic Exchanges (a.k.a. TE or TE’s) when I get a chance to and feel it’s worthy of noting, along with sharing my encounters with Google Analytics and anything else I feel is important to my readers.
Speaking of surfing the Traffic Exchanges, I’ve only been keeping up with two of them lately: (1) AutoSurfTraffic.com (a.k.a. AST; FYI: I won another AST Surf Contest in June, but this one was only for one week and it paid $15.00 USD, for a total of $40.00 won thus far, which I again used towards an upgrade) and (2) WebBizInsider.com (FYI: this is one of the best TE’s in my opinion and requires every member to surf at least 50 pages per month to remain active, plus they also send out emails that you can earn credits from for visiting other members’ sites). There are many other good Traffic Exchanges that are well worth using in your Web traffic generation efforts, but I just don’t have time to surf them right now, with all that’s going on in my life outside of the Internet.
Now, as for Google Analytics, I’m still perplexed by the metrics it’s furnishing. Because according to them, some of my splash and/or landing pages are not receiving any clicks on the sign-up links, although I’ve had people sign-up for some of my recommended programs and I’m only using these pages for promotions. It just doesn’t make sense.
Well, that’s it for this month’s surf report. I know it’s kinda short, but I truly hope that you enjoyed it and I’ll try to get some more time in on the Internet this month, so that I can have a better post for the FreeBlogger Monthly Surf Report (July 2K8). Thanks for visiting and reading today…
Take Care & God Bless!

P.S. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the new website for our cleaning / hauling / light demolition / scrap metal recycling business (click here to view it in a new window). Actually, I just finished making the first edition and decided to add it to this post. Right now, it’s attached to this website as a sub-directory, but I’m also thinking about getting a dedicated domain name for it.
