Hello World!

Hi. My name is Michael Brock (a.k.a. FreeBlogger). Welcome to my new blog! I’m using WordPress, of course. And I’m still choosing a theme, which is currently Mimbo but may change.
I have a lot of plans for this blog and my two-part mission is: 1) to start a profitable business blog for free with NO cash upfront; and 2) to help others make money online by sharing my personal experiences and showing them how to get their blogs for free.
So check out my posts and leave me a comment and/or subscribe to one of my feeds. Or, at least, occasionally come back again to see what I’ve been up to, K? Cool!
And I’ll strive to make it worthwhile to you by sharing all of my secrets to freeblogging for profit — as I learn and apply them for myself in accordance with my Free Blogoprise Project (click here or on the title to read my exclusive article about the Free Blogoprise Project in a new window).
For example, I plan to write a post (or possibly a series of posts) on the different WordPress plugins that I use to simplify the task of managing my blog. Yeah, there are tons of free WordPress plugins for everything from easy Search Engine Optimization (a.k.a. SEO) to push-button control of your advertising and other money making or monetizing efforts.
In the meantime, I will also be researching, reviewing and/or evaluating a lot of other free stuff that will help you make more money online and will write posts about them, too.
Of course, there are many ways to make money online and some of them are free to start, such as — in most cases — Affiliate Marketing, which is a form of Internet Marketing based on the popular Network Marketing model. And I will be focusing a lot of time on finding the best free Affiliate Programs to promote in order to make more money online as well.
By the way, I’m working a lot of hours with my cousin, operating our own home based cleaning / hauling / light demolition / metal recycling business, so my schedule is pretty weird right now.
UPDATE: As noted in Sporadic Surf Report (July - October 2K8), I’m now working on my new Joint Venture (JV) partnership, which includes a lot of different things, and it’s consuming most of my time right now. Not to mention that I’m sleeping random hours. So my schedule is still pretty weird. {More»}
And to be completely honest with you, I’m kind of a sporadic person and blog in the same manner, meaning that I’m inspired to write at irregular intervals.
In other words, I’m not gonna promise you that I’ll write a new post every hour, every day, every week, or even every month for that matter.
But you can rest assured that I will write to you honestly, from my own experience and without any fluff or hype when I do. I promise! So stay tuned for more blog tips on how to make money online and get your blogs for free… And thanks for visiting today!
NOTE: This was originally a “test” post that would have most likely been discarded but has become quite popular in terms of responses and will thus remain intact. So if this your first time here or simply your first time reading it, please feel free to introduce yourself below. I’d love to hear what you think about the content as well. It may be edited at some point in the future, though (like right now, ha ha). And I’m sorry about the low quality pics / avatars of me and will replace them with better ones ASAP! By the way, they were taken in April 2007 using an old-school Webcam, and I’m showing some love by giving you “thumbs-up” not flipping you the “bird” (LOL) — just in case you were wondering… smiles…

Hey Bro,
Thanks a lot for joining my blog & for the nice comment. Like I told you at RFN, my new baby — the blog — has a lot of growing up to do before my mission will be accomplished in full. But it should be a lot of fun along the way, in theory anyway, ha ha. Regardless, it’s my newfound purpose & I’ll do all that I can to keep it fun for e’rybody! Ciao for now… (I know how much you love that ending, LOL!)
TTYL,
Micahel
Hey FreeBlogger,
Just wanted to say thanks for putting me on the blogroll there. I added you to my newsfader on the forum to help get the word out about your mission!

No problem man. You are very welcome! I was gonna tell you about that when I replied to your email tomorrow, but you beat me to it.
Yeah, I saw your message earlier but ended up going out with some friends tonite and just got home. I wasn’t even gonna get on the computer, but I wasn’t tired yet and got bored and, well, you know, ha ha…. Anyway, I’ll respond to that tomorrow, coz it’s way too much to get into here and now, LOL!
And thanks a million for adding me to your site. You know, that will help us both in our SEO efforts, once the search engines pick up the reciprocal links. Btw, you also have another back link as a “Top Commentator”. OK, I’ve rambled enough here and should at least try to go to bed now. Have a good one bro!
TTYL,
Michael
Well it took a lot of hard work and perseverance to make it to #1 commentator, But it was certainly worth the effort! LOL
@ CatHead
I bet, LOL! Thanks for the input bro… YOU are the best!
TTYL,
Michael
P.S. Btw, I just checked my Pay-Per-Play Audio Ads stats at NetAudioAds.com (a.k.a. Voice2Page.com). And I have a brand new referral (had to be since about 6 am this morning when I last checked in) & you won’t believe who it is… ProjectPayday.com, who has been around for awhile & spends lots of money on advertising & gets tons of traffic. I see them all over Google AdSense ads, for example. And if they’re spending money for that, then you know they are getting traffic! Yeah, check it out! Here’s a screenshot for ya:
P.P.S. Moreover, they are so new that they haven’t even inserted the code yet, as you can see in the screenshot. Hopefully, they will do so & soon, although ads aren’t being played over the entire PPP network yet. I’m just glad to see that my promotional efforts are already starting to pay off. And I just started as we’ve discussed in our emails. Anyway, that’s enough for now. Ciao!
Wow! That is really great news Micheal! I checked out their site and they are in the top 30,000 in the world according to alexa rankings, so they are a pretty busy site I’d say. This may mean a really big residual income for you hopefully! Great Work!
@ CatHead
Thanks for the props bro! I only hope they use this awesome opportunity & don’t just sit on the bench, if you know what I mean. Not only for me but also for the cause. Yeah, I think Pay-Per-Play ads are a great idea generally & a welcomed change for people trying to make money with their blogs and/or websites. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed and hope that they live up to their part of the bargain!
TTYL,
Michael
Wassup Freeblogger,
Just checking in to see how you’re doing. NP about the props BTW LOL.
Have a Great Weekend,
CatHead
Wasup CatHead,
Thanks for checking in on me, bro! I’m doing OK, except for a strained back… Yeah, I’ve just been busy working with Paul this past week (that’s how I hurt my back) and haven’t been online that much, not during the day anyhow. And I’m also experimenting with something new to me in terms of free website advertising, so that’s kept me busy when I was online.
I’ve been trying out traffic exchanges and their related viral marketing sites / downline clubs and designed a few new custom splash pages for them (with my PPP code embedded, of course). And I’d have to say that it’s working good so far, since I’m getting referrals (mostly in PPP, but I’m not complaining) and lots of pageviews, which will increase exponentially as my TE downlines grow. Not to mention that it will boost my PPP earnings too.
Btw, I’ve noticed some PPP ads being played on my pages the past couple of days, but the stats don’t seem to be updating properly. I’m not sweating it, though, coz at least they’re playing ads on my sites now. Way cool, imo!
Well, I’ve rambled on enough for now, so I’ll end here. Have a great, blessed weekend my friend!
TTYL,
Michael
Sorry to hear about your back, you should really be careful when doing heavy lifting, it can really screw you up bad (I guess you already realize this LOL).
Yes they finally started the PPP ads. Don’t feel like the lone stranger about your stats though. Mine haven’t worked since the beginning. Even after posting about the prob in their forum and e-mailing larry host several times. The ads aren’t playing for me on my graphics forum even They play on my catzgfx.com landing page, but not the forum even though one of the PPP forum moderators doublechecked and said my code was in there properly, and when I do the white noise test, it works fine *shrugs* I haven’t been credited with any referrals, even though several peeps have told me they signed up under me. My PPP stats are showing 3400 page views in 3 mos. while my godaddy and google analytic stats show I have over 300,000 page views during that period. The PPP spiders say I have the code inserted on 240 pages when it’s probably more like 20,000 pages LOL.
So in other words I’m not too happy. They say that 96% of everyone’s stats are working properly, I’m in the lucky 4% of course.
Anyhoo, don’t mean to blast them, I’m still sticking with them for awhile, it’s a good concept and hopefully they’ll get all these issues taken care of soon.
I’ve heard that some folks generate as many as 10,000 hits per day from traffic exchanges so I guess this has become a good way to get your site pounded by visitors. I’ve only tried TrafficG. I guess it’s okay, I haven’t really spent much time on their but I’ve recieved 240 visitors from them 1:1 ratio. Google analytics says that my traffic from there views 2.4 pages on average, so I’d say that is pretty great! Seems like the traffic just trickles in though, I was surfing about 30 pages a day and it seemed like it would take all day for the credits to run out, so that’s not too good I guess.
I’ve got a PPP splash page you are free to use and modify to your needs if you’d like to try some variety. It’s not linked to anything there, so I can leave you the link here without being a spammer =)

Wasup CatHead,
Thanks for your condolences, bro. And yes, I do know that lifting heavy objects can be injurious. I am cautious about how I lift things, but it’s so easy to hurt yourself when lifting something heavier than you are. And although I have started weight training again, I have to remember that I’m simply not as young and strong as I used to be. Anyway, I’m feeling better today and will probably even workout later.
Yeah, I feel you on the issues with PPP. It is a bit discouraging, to say the least. And now the site is down for repair and maintenance, including the sign-up page. So I’m not promoting it myself right now. Hopefully, they will have most of the problems fixed when they come back online, if not all of them (fingers crossed).
As for Traffic Exchanges (TE’s), I’m regularly “surfing” about a dozen of them, including TrafficG. Personally, I’m already getting pretty good results (esp. in terms of pageviews), and I just started using them a little over a week ago.
In fact, I’m sure that’s where my PPP referrals came from, because it’s the only way I’ve been promoting it, other than my related blog post. And I’m not currently promoting my blog in the TE’s, although I may at some point in the future.
Btw, it seems like the more you “surf” the more frequently your page/s get viewed by other members. So I’m “surfing” pages as much as possible. Not every day mind you, but at least a few times per week.
Well, that’s enough for now. Have a great day buddy!
TTYL,
Michael
P.S. KUDOS on your PPP splash page! It’s very informative and I might use some of the information and graphics from it to make one of my own. Thanks!
P.P.S. I’m working on a blog post about TE’s and it *should* be done later today, but don’t hold me to it, K? LOL!
